Mixing speeds is normally fine. It'll just run at the lower. One more option - create a bootable version of Memtest and run that with the Corsair RAM only.

The speed of the Corsair RAM should have been fine. Remove the original memory completely. Does the machine boot with just the Corsair memory? You can also put back just the original RAM, check the machine still boots OK and then run the Crucial compatibility scanner.

First remove the battery and the charger. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Connect the charger and try to turn on. If it works, replace battery. Second option connect external monitor/TV using HDMI.

If you haven't got HDMI, then optical is going to be your best bet.

You need to give more detail - can it see other networks?

Go to the support section on the Dell website and either let it detect your machine or enter the service tag/express service code. Check the warranty. If that is OK, take what Dell say at face value and use a USB mouse until Dell have the touchpad in stock.

Few thoughts for you. Lot's of processes in Chrome is normal. Have a look at the CPU in task manager - is it high even when the system is idling? If it is, what is using the CPU? Is the machine hot? If you're not sure, try running something like Speccy to see what sort of temps you're getting...

You don't say whether you've got a desktop or laptop. I'm guessing it's a desktop, in which case it's likely to be a failing PSU (power supply). Regards Mike

Hi Have you got another device you can try to connect to wifi - smartphone, etc.? If nothing will connect, suspect the Virgin box. Power it off and back on. If that doesn't work, see if wireless on the VM box has been turned off and then ring VM on 150 from your landline.

Botty OK, as far as I know HDMI 1.4 only supported 4K @ 30HZ, so you might need an HDMI 2.0 cable. The other thing to look at is updating BIOS and drivers on the laptop.

Botty Two immediate thoughts: I'm assuming your laptop is FHD. To get 4k on the external monitor, you need to use Extend rather than duplicate. What type of cable are you using? Regards Mike

Always happens - the formatted space available is less than the nominal space because various bits needed for the system.

Nedgy Open task manager, click or more details and then sort on the CPU column to see what task is using the CPU please. Mike
