Thank you for your input, last time I purchased an Alienware I loved it that being the 17x r4.. I've seen cheaper laptops with same specs but I don't know.. It's like Apple.. Some people just pay more for the same thing and I'm one of those who just like Alienwares unfortunately

Also, if that doesn't work mate try right clicking the unalocated space and creating a partition NTFS, then use easeus tool called "merge" or "merge partitions" this should allow you to merge the newly created partition to your C drive

Great, so in this case grab easeus partition manager (get the free version) back up your game installs to your C: drive then delete your D: drive and then you should be able to resize your C: drive in easeus partition manager and slide the slider across which will fill in the deleted partition...

Was the D drive empty before you started using it? usually another partition is created which holds your windows install as well as the drivers just in case anything goes wrong.

Does the laptop have the "vaio" key to enter the vaio repair centre? if it does turn the laptop off and then press "vaio" and see what tools are available in there.

You may find it difficult because installing windows after ubuntu means you'll have the windows boot loader which is not capable of booting ubuntu. Usually people do Windows and then install ubuntu as the GRUB boot loader (i think that's what its called) which is installed with the ubuntu...
