Light, High-Pitched Screech from Klipsch Promedia 2.1's

Hello! I got some Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers a couple weeks ago, and have had a problem with them ever since. I thought it would go away, but it hasn't. Whenever I play music through them, I get this high-pitched, almost "electric" (if you will) sound coming from somewhere. I think it is...

Help Choosing Computer Speakers for Music and Gaming

Hello! I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to audio, so I could use some help. I'm looking for speakers for my computer that will give me nice volume and quality, in the price range of $250-300. So far I've come up with two different ideas; a receiver and bookshelf speakers, or a complete...

Help picking a gaming audio setup.

I can speak to the Corsair 2000 headset you mentioned. I have one and it's very nice. The mic is superb, very good quality. My friends all say that they can hear me crisp and clear. One of them went out and bought it after I did, and I can always hear him perfectly. The headphones are nice, too...

Best laptop for high school student

If you're on a budget, buy refurbished! While you may disregard this idea at first, refurbished laptops actually work very well and come with a free warranty. I am also a student purchasing a laptop soon, and will definitely be going refurbished. HP has some great deals on laptops, just google...

    Really need help !!!

You don't need to spend the extra money for an i7. None of your needs warrant the 4 cores/8 threads. Get an i5. Don't get an AMD processor if you plan on gaming. They are much slower, especially in gaming performance.

    Gaming laptop on a budget?

    1) You don't want Windows 8 for gaming. 2) Any computer will not last 4-5 years and still be viable, regardless of how good it is. I have a high-end rig and have already come to terms with this. 3) With such a small budget, get a desktop if you want to game with decent settings and FPS.

I get beeping sound and message start with windows vista

The problem is simple: you are using Windows Vista. I'm not trolling, I had it once too. It is the worst operating system ever. Period.

Should I get a laptop, or a desktop?

Consider getting 2x 4850's in Crossfire then. My friend has that setup can can run most modern games with low-medium at at least 30fps. The fact that those older cards have such little memory can often bottleneck them. Of course this is with his Intel i5 processor.

Should I get a laptop, or a desktop?

You will be able to get MUCH better FPS, higher resolution and way higher settings with the same budget on a desktop. It all comes down to: to you want the option to take it with you or not? Either way, DON'T get an AMD processor for gaming. There will be some fanboys, but honestly Intel is...

Amplifier and sound card for speakers to computer?

What amplifier/receiver would you suggest if I don't want to spend too much on it? EDIT: And will work with the Energy RC-10's.

Amplifier and sound card for speakers to computer?

So I've decided to purchase the Energy RC-10 speakers to play music through my computer. However, it has come to my attention that I might need other things in order to make this work. I'm new to such speakers so I know little about this. 1) Do I need an amplifier to give power to the speakers...

Audio Noob: Best Speakers for $250-300?

Ok thank's for the advice. While I'm not as gnarly hardcore about getting the BEST BEST BEST like I am with my computer rigs, I'd still like to do a good job choosing some nice speakers. If I DID go with the RC-10's, would I need a subwoofer, or do they have one built in? Haha I'm such a noob...

Audio Noob: Best Speakers for $250-300?

So I know very little about different speaker brands/models/stats and what not. I want to spend around $250-300 on a set of speakers mainly for music. Music is the top priority, with maybe some movies and gaming as well, but put the emphasis on MUSIC quality. I have no idea where to start. What...
