Thanks for your input Jeff. I did more research and came to the conclusion that the ASUS is more reliable/better cooling IF.... IF it has been manufactured to its intended design specification. (ie, it has passed proper quality control) But have been hearing more stories of poor quality...

couple of reviews i saw a while ago talked about the thinner GL models thermal-throttling. A possibility you wont be able to run GPU/CPU at 100% for an extended gaming session, or at best, little to no room for overclocking and a reduced life span of hardware. the G750 has a big cooling system...

that acer predator looks nice. pitty it too far over budget. seems most extra large cooling systems are reserved for the high end gaming laptops. so far the only company i could find, that does larger cooling systems on mid range laptops, is ASUS with The G75* (0/1/2) it nice to consider...
