Not really, my video card I use is reaching about 50ºC. During games it goes up to 85-90ºC

The slight activity is on other processes, up to 1MB across, the video player(PotPlayer) shows no disk activity while I'm playing videos. The disk is healthy and about 34ºC according to Crystal Disk Info.

At this point I would either leave with a tech guy at a laptop shop or have a tech savvy friend have it checked out.

Have you tried turning it on while plugged into the wall socket instead of on the battery only? If not give it a try, it could be a dead battery. Either that or maybe your ram stick is defective or the motherboard in which case you should take it to a pc/laptop shop and have it checked.

It might also be your charger that's at fault. Check if it's not faulty for some reason, it would explain why the battery isn't charging.

Also if you have a low amount of ram on your pc then Firefox is probably the better option(if not the only one), Chrome used to load up faster than most browsers including Firefox but now that's no longer true since Firefox has become a lot lighter on its feet lately.

I ask this because I've just watched an ex-hacker say on a Youtube video that today's users are only using mobiles, especially Androids, not PC's anymore and that desktops in general are now used only by people who work with PC's such as programmers. Is this true? I feel like an outsider myself...

And if it does use the graphics card is an hd 4000 enough for a good editing performance, or should I get a better card for video editing?
