Question No disk activity while playing video causes stuttering

Hi there,

I have been having a rather unusual problem, while playing 1080p videos I have on my hdd I'm getting a slight
problem with stuttering. When I check the Task Manager, strangely, there is no disk activity. There is some
expected slight activity elsewhere, but not the disk.

Why is this happening? What could be causing this?

The slight activity is on other processes, up to 1MB across, the video player(PotPlayer) shows no disk activity while I'm playing videos.
The disk is healthy and about 34ºC according to Crystal Disk Info.

I mean the device that playing the movie overheating

Not really, my video card I use is reaching about 50ºC. During games it goes up to 85-90ºC
