Solved! help me choose - Dell Inspiron 13 7000 vs HP Pavilion x360 core i5 versions?

It's difficult to say if they have the same specs, almost comes down to a matter of preference really. Is there any location you can go near you (unfamiliar with the UK, sorry) that has displays? If you're polling for preferences, I've always preferred Dell when it comes to laptops over HP.

    Looking for high end laptop

If those are literally your only concerns, and nothing else about the laptop: assuming they are both quad and similar clock speeds, I would go with the i7 8th Gen and Ti card. Not a lot of information here, however, and it's near impossible to say.

    Looking for a new laptop.

Both 15.6'' FHD I assume. If you can splash the extra $200, the Asus seems better, mostly because it has a newer processor and extra internal storage for your edits. However, if you already own external storage solutions (drives, clouds etc) I would keep the extra $200 and go for the Helios...

MSI GT62VR GPU fan isn't working

Use a pair of tweezers to nudge it out of place, and to press the new one into the connector.

    Laptop extended ram doubt.

Compare the two chips, paying attention to the memory type (DDR2, DDR3, etc), frequency (listed in MHz), and voltage. If the chips match, you can run them together and they should also run in dual channel assuming that the other chip is 4GB as well. If not, you can still install it if everything...

Which laptop is better for Lightroom and Photoshop?

I too would focus on the screen. Not only in terms of color accuracy, but also in terms of resolution. Assuming a 15.6'' display, 1366x768 may be found as cumbersome for that type of work if that is the resolution you are looking at. I'm not sure you will be able to find a reliable FHD notebook...

Need help, to choose between this laptop

I'm assuming they are relatively the same price? If so, go for the Acer, just from a specs point of view. In other words, if there are no other major features in play (cooling design, keyboard extras, etc) the specs on the Acer are much better. I would look into what kind of panels each has for...

Is this specs good enough or should I upgrade?

A RAM and SSD upgrade will definitely help the system but depending on what gaming you want to do, you may need to start looking at a new laptop. I'm assuming that 830M has at least 1GB of vRAM, so to be honest depending on what you want to play, it can be manageable for sure, but lackluster for...

    Core comparison for gaming use.

They are both dual core. Not going to see a significant difference, and you certainly won't notice it unless the game you're playing is particularly CPU intensive, but even then, pretty negligible difference. You can use NotebookCheck to compare any laptop component and to view benchmarks, tests...

water spilt, laptop's touchscreen not working nor keyboard and mouse

Does it accept any peripherals? USB mouse/keyboard? If so it will help you better isolate the issue. If the ports are working it is more unlikely to be the entire board. Just the fact that it posts and brings you to the desktop basically leans toward the board being okay, but it could still act...

Are you equipped to open it up? If you can locate the wireless card you can just try disconnecting and reconnecting it.

Solved! Acer Predator 15 not turning on without charger

Once it is connected and you are able to turn it on, have you tried removing it once it is started up? If so, what does it do? Shut down immediately? What does the percentage read/report?

    Is it worth

Downgrade your CPU and GPU for double the RAM and what else? Even if you end up with a "better" display or chassis (none of that is listed) it doesn't seem worth it. If you need the extra RAM just purchase it for your current laptop in my opinion.

Possible to find a sun ''resistant'' Laptop ?

Prioritize an anti-glare screen just for your own ability to work on it properly. Other than that I don't think I have ever seen a laptop manufactured out of something that would resist or repel sun. Perhaps avoid an aluminum laptop, sounds like that would be difficult to touch or pick up if...
