California Considering Ads on Cars With E-Plates

"Oh great I can see it now...you get pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign when the cop notices you haven't stopped long enough for the ad to appear." epic. Beyond the displaying offensive material that the driver may not want to be seen as advocating... What about privacy concerns...

Microsoft's Natal Needs 4 Meters/13 Feet of Space

I have the space but my problem here is that there is no way to play these games without the exaggerated movements. I mean I like the wii its great fun in a group. But sometimes I like to sit down and use minimal wrist movements that produce the same result as a full swing in baseball...

    Tips For The Multi-Display Life

Interesting article but the tips could be condensed to one page. Very simplistic. Would have liked to see more information for first time multi-users so they can determine their ability to make the switch.

Streetlight Collects Sun Power to Light the Night

The mechanics of opening and closing seem like a bad idea. The On and Off seems like a bad idea (lighting deters crime and has other benefits and honestly this is an extra cost without much gain and would have implementation problems and problems which the sensor/mechicanics of doing it...

Google Working to Make Gmail Faster

10% and its typically fine. Occasional slowness, but I tend to attribute that to internet connectivity rather then google.

FCC Releases Internet Speed Test Tool

I have to agree that these speeds in most cases are not sustainable during actual use. I can pull 12-15mbps down on speed test and around 5mbps up I believe but I still get "buffering" and speed adjustments from Hulu/Netflix occasionally and files simply don't download at those speeds. Granted...

Girl Confuses Wiimote with Loaded Gun, Dies

I'm sorry but if the mother was in the same room, how did a 3 year old pick up a gun, point it at her chest and pull the trigger. Not exactly the easiest thing to do at 3. And blaming it on the wii reeks of irresponsible parenting.

Call of Duty to Carry on With New Developer

Misleading article title, isn't the idea that Treyarch and Infinity Ward are swapping titles ( World at War was released by Treyarch and CODMW2 was released by IW). Its not carrying on with a new dev. its the planned development path + a different new game within a different genre...

Sony: 3rd-Party Publishers Leaving Nintendo Wii

I think several of the points regarding Ports are fairly accurate. We are seeing the same thing with PC games, except reversed. Xbox/PS3 use technology that is several years out of date in the PC world and new games simply are not taking advantage of the changes because they are developed to...

EA's 'Project $10' to Squeeze Used Game Buyers

The comment regarding price changes on digital delivery is spot on. STEAM and D2D do this very successfully. Typically its about 2-3mnths at the earliest after release, but for most people who don't buy on launch day and have RL schedules that is fine. Same goes for Used console games (can't...
