PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

Here's some additional info if you're still around, or if someone else wants to help out. Someone advised me to use the diskpart command to diagnose the problem, but I don't know how to interpret the info shown: Volume # Ltr Label FS Type Size Status Info Volume 0 E DVD-ROM 0...

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

Somehow I missed the video you posted in post #34. I think my mind is conditioned to skip over anything that isn't text for some strange reason... lol. Anyway, thanks for that video. I watched it and followed the instructions but got hung up here: x:\Sources>Bootrec /fixmbr The operation has...

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

I'm ready to continue forward. I just need to know if I should type "cd \" at the "C:\Users" command line, followed by the four earlier commands (bootrec, etc.). I neglected to mention in my previous message that I did try typing in the other drive letters too (D:, E:, F:, etc) but I didn't...

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

Followed the instructions from 33 and I saw Program Files and Users on two separate lines. When I typed cd/users I didn't see my user name, but I did get a command line that reads C:\Users. Should I go ahead and type cd \ there?

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

Okay, so just to be 100% clear, when I get to the CMD screen and see the x:\sources> line, I should follow the instructions from #33 (type in c:, etc.), and I should do this before executing the four commands from earlier (bootrec /fixboot, etc). Is this correct?

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

I got your last 3 messages (#'s 33-35). This forum page doesn't seem to always refresh properly, causing some confusion when the latest messages aren't displayed. Anyway, thanks for your patient help so far -- greatly appreciated. I'm just confused as to whether I'm supposed to put the flash...

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

For some reason, I'm right back to where I was before, a black Windows Boot Manager screen with the 0xc000000d error message ["An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data."] Was I supposed to re-insert the flash drive?

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

I saw the Starting Windows screen for 10 seconds or so, just like before. Then it went back to the black screen.

Note: My last message (#23) was sent before I saw your last message (#22). When you say disconnect the charger, do you mean unplug the computer?

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

Okay, I removed the flash drive and I restarted the computer, making Windows Boot Manager the 1st Disk Priority in the BIOS (delete key) and the Please select boot device screen {F12 key). After choosing the Start Windows Normally option (not Safe Mode) I'm still getting a blank, black screen.

Still getting the blank black screen. I made Windows Boot Manager the 1st disk priority in the BIOS and started Windows normally (not safe mode).

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

Okay, I've executed the commands and restarted the computer and Windows looked like it was gonna start, but it's just a blank black screen now. Should I have removed the flash drive from the USB port? Also, should I have changed the BIOS back to not boot from the USB?

PC Won't Boot into Windows 7

After executing the 3rd command (bootrec /rebuildbcd) I'm given the message "Successfully scanned Windows installations. Total identified Windows installations: 1. Add installation to boot list? Yes(Y) / No(N) / All( (A)"
