I'm pretty sure AOL Instant Messenger still exists. You could also use the chat function in Steam. If you are friends on Facebook, that has chat/email function.

Temps are high. I don't know about a vacuum but open the side panel and try using compressed air to dislodge the dust from the heatsink of the CPU and graphics card.
