Tech Brings X360 Games to iPhone, Android OS

I give it 3 years before we see halo on a phone natively. The speed of phone processors is accelerating far faster than what computers did a decade ago. 3 years may be generous.

    Palm Files Complaint Against Apple

You can still use your music with your Pre, you just can't use iTunes with it. If Palm wants to get off their lazy butt and make their own interface software, all the more power to them.

    Palm Files Complaint Against Apple

You all have no idea what is going on here. If you read any other credible technology site, than you would understand what Apple has done. Apple locked out the initial Pre software because it hadn't locked out all non-apple devices from syncing with iTunes. In fact the Pre had been using A...

Valve Explains Why it Doesn't Make PS3 Games

ViPrwait, aren't PS3 programs supposed to be written in OpenCL, which is the language that all future programs are supposed to be written in, and which makes the code multi-platform, or am i dreaming? You're dreaming, and I hope sarcastic. OpenCL was only ratified recently, there is no way...

Chevy Volt First Build on June 1

Most of you are completely misinformed on this vehicle. This is an electric vehicle. You fill it up with gas, then that gas is used in the ICE to charge the batteries, IF they need it. Here's the rub. Why use gas then? You could theoretically swap any fuel powered engine in there (diesel...

Nero Adds CUDA to Accelerate Video Encoding

Really Skittle? You're going to attempt to continue and add to your line of reasoning that since 2 programs suck, and one guy said it won't work that the whole attempt at the gpu assisted decode is for nothing? IBM in the 80s said that the home PC would never take off. They were as spot on...

Nero Adds CUDA to Accelerate Video Encoding

Thanks skittle for your insightful input. Programming for these GPUs in Brook+ or CUDA is difficult and still in early stages. Hence early encoders will not be all they have promised. That doesn't mean that an encoder developed by NERO, one of the foremost encoding/transcoding/decoding for...

Insiders Say Intel to Build PlayStation 4 GPU

Why wouldn't you break the cycle? Maybe release your console mid-cycle so yours is actually 2-3 years development time, more powerful than the competitions'. Why live in the confines of this "product cycle". They can produce a console that developers WANT to program for, make it affordable...

Controller Used to Find Stolen Xbox360

Also, just to clarify for Joebob. Xbox 360 controllers are bluetooth controllers. They get paired up with one specific console to avoid situations like dorm confusion (many xboxes in one area). So when you take your controller down the hall to use on someone else's xbox, you have to connect...

    Dell Adamo: Thinner Than Air?

I don't think that picture is of the Adamo, as it appears much thicker than the MBA.

Report: MSFT Knew Xbox360 Scratches Discs

I have had my 360 scratch discs without me moving it at all. Both the horizontal position and the vertical position will do this. Also the 'chugging' problem on startup or whenever a lot of loading is required. Now that I can install a game to my HDD I have done so on the games that I play most.

Microsoft Launches Third Ad, Forth Spotted on YouTube

I'm glad the 'forth' is coming. It should clear up where their campaign is going.
