Hey, I am struck for choosing between two asus notebooks, One notebook comes with i7 3610u and nvidia gt 630 2 gb gpu. Other comes with i7 4500u and gt 720m 2gb gpu. Resr specs are same. Usage: Gaming like crysis,battlefield,gta..etc Programming Video and audio rendring. I am getting 3rd gen i7...

You can get better asus one instead of spending on a lenovo for the same price,look for asus versatile series and choose one for your needs,look for i7 4200u and nvidia gt 720m..i'm sure you'll get it within your budget

See the specs of yor laptop,note the model no of your cpu,say- 4200u,search on wikipedia adn you'll get answer as haswell,otherwise the first digit of model no defines its architecture name

Make sure you are plugging it in ac power not backup power in your workplace..it happened to me,did this and it was normal...dell has this issue..otherwise remove the battery,hold the power button for 30-40 seconds to drain the charge and see if it helps

You'll not need this much vram unless you are playing on extreme reso. Generally you'll need 2 gb.i'll recommend going for a pc if you are gaming because they are upgradable in future..otherwise look for asus notebooks,they dont have loaddsss to choose from so it would be easy for you to pick...
