Mostly the speakers are going to be used for music and gaming. Few blu-rays too, but not whole lot. My room is not that big, its 12x9 or smaller. I was going for x540, but idk how they sound. I also prefer somewhat neutral sound/clear high ends Thanks in advance!

Thanks for you reply! Basically if i go for onkyo 7.1, I HAVE to buy a reciver right? Oh and by powerful i meant like onkyo HT540 has about 500 watts or so but if my room is small i will take up the volume 1/4 or a bit more compared to x540 which is only 70 watts, i can go half or more volume...

I believe headsets can't compare to headphones especially one of those studio monitors. I have a logitech precision (gaming headset) and also a sony headphone (forgot the model #) but was around $30 , Sony is definetly better for music, In logitech everytung seems distorted at volume more than half

OMG! same! I thought it was just me, but no! I have x240 too, and sometimes it picks up random radio stations. But weirdly my guitar amplifier picks them up too

I dont know about separate speakers, but Logitech has z5450 for $499, can be found for $400 online. They have wireless rear speakers. The quality is on par with the famous z5500. Btw how do u find x540 quality to be? Im thinking to buy one for my small room?

Hey! Ok, so im a pc gamer, and am thinking to get a ps3 too soon. Though ill be using the same HD monitor for pc and ps3, but as my moniotr has hdmi and vga, ill connect the ps3 to hdmi and pc to vga...is it gonna work out? Ok now for audio....I'll be using same speakers (2.1) for both...
