Is there any great (cheap) ddr2-supporting-mobo that can successfully unlock the phenom 550 BE? Can't seem to fit in ddr3 mem in my budget since it's kinda tight. South bridge should be atleast SB710. Better if the north bridge is atleast 780.

Hey I have a Phenom II x2 550, idle 27-34 on stock cooler 52 under load. after i unlock the 2 cores and make it a x4 B50 at 3.1ghz no overclock idle is similar but load goes 60+ i believe under prime95 I was wondering if this cooler would do the job...

I'm going to be getting the AMD Phenom II X3 720 for the computer I'm building and I've heard something about being able to unlock a 4 core. Is this just a form of overcloaking? Or are you really able to unlock anther core? And if so how do you unlock the core? Thanks.
