1. What is your budget?

Don't really want to go over £500

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

15.6

3. What screen resolution do you want?

1366x768

4. How much battery life do you need?

Not a huge concern

5. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

swtor, skyrim (low/medium), BF3 (although this might be overly ambitious)

6. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

general gaming

7. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

ebuyer, etc, really any good UK sites

8. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

3+ish years

9. What country do you live in?

UK

10. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

Currently debating between these two:

http://www.ebuyer.com/291731-asus-k53ta-laptop-k53ta-sx122v

Can't decide between them. Opinions? Are there better laptops out there for that price that I'm not seeing?

Thanks

here, look at the following two links for comparison on their graphics performance there are several benchmarks including games:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-540M.41715.0.html

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-6650M.43962.0.html

and here are the CPUs being compared:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-A-Series-A4-3300M-Notebook-Processor.55741.0.html
vs
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i3-2310M-Notebook-Processor.45318.0.html

based on those it seems the nvidia card is slightly better, and the Intel processor is a whole lot faster than the amd one, thus I would choose the Acer laptop.

Just use this site, notebookcheck.net to compare any other laptops you have in mind
