12" powered Mackie thump

A friend connected my powered speaker to a PA and now all i get is light and no sound. Can you explain to me what may have been blown in the powered speakers amp?

Your powered speaker was expecting signal level voltages and got speaker level voltages instead. This probably blew the input components on your power amp.
