Solved! 120hz vs 144hz gaming laptop?

Is it worth paying extra for 144hz for gaming laptop which will mainly be used for mmorpg games or is it not very noticeable? Thanks

That would depend on the rest of specs as well as their price difference. i.e. buying a 144hz laptop that cannot run games at 144 fps is not a good option. In general, you cannot feel any difference between 120 hz and 144, especially for titles as mentioned above. It could make sense for shooter titles but again, 120 vs 144 is not even noticeable. Don't bother much with this, better monitor the rest of their specs to decide

I'd prefer 144Hz but how much is the price difference? Also, do we assume 1080p?

Yeah looking 1080p just looking around atm but 120hz seems to be around the £1400 mark an 144hz seems to be around £300 more you reckon its worth it?

No. When I play 120fps vs 144 do i notice? no. But that extra £300, yeah. Plus future games will only make it tougher to get 144fps. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for higher fps monitors, but cost matters. If it was £100 more (to a £1400 system) then I'd say get the 144Hz. But £300 is making the laptop price go up by 20% just for the possibility of an extra 24fps.
