14 inch laptop under 1000

My 4 year old laptop is starting to get old and although I'd rather buy a good desktop computer, for the moment a laptop is more convenient for my life situation.

This would be a secondary computer but I'd like it to meet certain criteria:
- Under 1000 euros/dollar (+/- 200)
- 14 inch, 1080p screen. I think it's the best size if you want to move it around
- I'd like to use it for light gaming also (Hearts of Iron 4, American Truck Simulator) and also Adobe Lightroom. Just in case the desktop takes some time to arrive.

if you must have up to 14", Alienware 13 at about 1000$ is probably the best option.
If you agree to 15.6, there are much more options that are more powerful for the same price.

After 4 years with my Lenovo u430p a 15.6 inch (600 €) laptop feels too heavy and bulky. I know I'd have to compromise, but since I plan to also have a desktop, I'd rather buy a small one. I'd like it to be powerful enough for Lightroom and some gaming so I've risen my budget to 1000€.

About the Alienware 13, it's at 1400 € in Spain.

Some decent sales might want to check out the new Ideapad 720S, comes with 8th i7, and MX150 graphics. Best of all its thinner than an XPS and in a 12.5" form factor due to the bezels.

Forgot to mention I paid about $1100CAD after tax, pretty good deal if I say so. Won't get those specs/form factor/metal build from many laptops at this price.
