Is it worth the extra cost to get an upgradable laptop? Or is there no point if you have a 970m or 980m?

I would go with the sagar with the gtx 970m as it can play all the games you have said at high settings. The 980m is for people that want to play at ultra settings at 1080p.

If you want to keep the thing for 4 years, go with the fastest you can afford even if it's overkill now. In 2-3-4 years, AAA games will likely not run well on high settings on the current high end video cards.
