17 inch matte screen desktop replacement laptop

Hi,

I'm looking for a laptop with a 17 inch screen size that can handle image processing tasks. The most important aspect of the laptop is the screen. More specifically I want a MATTE screen with Full HD resolution. After using a glossy screen for 3 years I honestly can say I don't want another glossy screen due to the reflections and glare you get when using the laptop. Spec-wise it should be a desktop replacement machine.

Do you have any recommendations?

MSI GT780R has a 17" 1080p matte screen.Sager NP8170 also can be customized with a matte 1080p display

Aside from G74 3D which isn't available yet and it's kinda pricey,other G74/G73 models have a glossy display

I can't believe how hard it is to find a non-glossy full HD display on a performance laptop.

I'm in the same boat. I wanted the Asus G74SX for graphics purposes but it has a glossy screen - a total deal breaker! If anyone knows where I can find one (1900 res of course) would you please let me know? Thanks!

anyone got one of these? seems good value when you add i5, 8G, matte screen (refreshing to see a option to have no OS).. anyone got strong opinions on whether the GT 555M 2Gig gfx card is necessary given I'm not a big gamer?
