1gbp/s download but not getting 1gbp/s

in ethernet properties and on my wifi providers settings it says i should be getting 1 gbp/s download speeds but i only get 44mbp/s using speedtest.net, is there a solution to this problem i am having

im sorry do you have 1gbps internet from your provider? do you know what speed you are paying for?

your ethernet connection and wifi connection could be capable of getting 1gbps. But if you dont have that speed from your provider you will not get it. Its all possible you live far away so its slower or everyone is using internet so its limited a bit, or you are getting throttled because you used a bunch of data or its prime usage time.

what provider and speed are you paying for?
