Yes and yes. Devices and ports are backward compatible. They will synch at the lower rated speed (USB 2).

great thank you!!!!.. do yo have a good program to password protect the flash drive that works on both 32 and 64 to switch on different windows laptops ?
and what option s best to choose to format the USB - efat, or ntfs as those are two options given on one have- or best not to format when password protect>?
