Always go for a better Graphics card than processor cause difference between a generation of processors hardly make any difference in performance

Personally, I would get the Intel Core i5 4690K, which is just under £100 cheaper than i7 and then get the NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970 4G, a brilliant card with excellent performance and cooling capabilities.

this is the setup I am using and for photo/video editing, light overclocking and gaming works just fine. just make sure the case is well cooled as it gets hot.
