Its not soccer, its FOOTBALL, it is played with the FOOT not like American Football that you play with your HAND !!!

Hmmm, Jerry Jones has a couple of TV's he could show it on .........for a price of course

It's a shame that some of you Americans aren't interested in soccer (I feel dirty just typing that word, being British) because your national team is rather good at it and could do with the support.

I agree. Team USA is much better than it should be given the total lack of support for the sport here. The least you could do is encourage them a bit more!

Who cares about Soccer or Football. The players make tons of money. So, why don't you get off your couch, and make your selves some money. TV is a waste of time. (So is using the internet :O)

[citation][nom]longerlife[/nom]That is why the rest of the world calls it football, it being by FAR the most popular sport globally.[/citation]

The most popular sport is not football, but Interwebs idiocy. The millions who participate in it are quite good, and the competition is fierce.

/wish it was sarcasm

I understand why Sony opted out of USA, but since the USA is being comprised of more and more immigrants (like myself), They should have at least put it in one major city.

As an American I wish they would broadcast this somewhere.

I would most likely not be lucky enough to be in the correct city but soccer is a great sport and it should get more coverage here.

Football aka soccer is full of actors some of which are good others are great. They all practice how to fall during phantom tripping just to get a penalty kick or a yellow card to the player on the opposing team. After which they get up like nothing happened (no limp). When players in NFL get hit they go down not because of an act, but because of a broken, torn or tweaked part of a body not to mention constant contusions from 150kg+ athlete running full speed into them.
So yes soccer is for little fineness kitties. As far as popularity is concerned; soccer is cheaper and easier to play, with fewer rules like checkers vs. chess. Period.

A bunch of pansies running around in full body armor for about 15 secs then laying around for 2-3 min trying to figure out what to do... No, thanks, I will take the soccer anytime for that matter if I want to watch an engaging sport.
Try rugby, pansies, and see if you will be still standing in the field after 10 min. I bet you won't... /end sports favoritism, waiting for US football fans thumbs-down.

About 3D: I will be happy if I get it in US in 2D in it's entirety, never mind the 3D technology.

And for people saying rugby, I love rugby, but I hate soccer. Rugby is a real man's sport and I wish America had more of it :\. Still though, as far as soccer goes. Boring and not exciting in the least. They score like 2-3 goals the whole game then run around with their shirts off like fagtrons.

Actually, football players (mostly black ones), such as running backs and punt returners are much faster than 99% of soccer players lol, fact.

Interesting to read the number of people who don't care about soccer who still felt the need to not only read the article but also respond...as if they cared. Good luck from California to the US and UK in this matchup, it should be an interesting battle as the US improves each year. Cheers.

To tsmatthx2:

Speed isn't just about running 40's in 4secs, it involves anticipation and reflex as well. This is why Crabtree does better than Hayward-Bey despite recording a slower 40-yard dash (better hands too). The fastest guys in football tend to be the wide receivers and cornerbacks. While your math is totally wrong (fact) most football players are definitely faster. Can you imagine them trying to tackle? They wouldn't be fast enough to avoid committing a foul on every play.

[citation][nom]superblahman123[/nom]Who the hell cares? Did you really need to make that comment? The question was about the tournaments being broadcasted in the U.S, where the hell do you get football rolled in the mix?[/citation]

Chill pills. They should be cheap in the US too. Try them.

[citation][nom]rtfm[/nom]^^ I was just being cheeky, no offense meant[/citation]

Its ok, dont mind ppl waking up on the bad side or that need to get laid. Maybe even go out a bit? 😛 Im Greek and here I know way too many ppl that would love to see this BUT if it will not be live on 3D then it is kind of not important if you ask me. I can barely watch replays if not worth it. Live is what matters 😉

Plus, how can it be important to the US when they call Football as soccer? I got nothing against American football and I kinda like it too, but its just odd since you barely ever touch the damn ball with your feet. I'll never get that 😛 Its as bad as not calling Basketball with its name if you ask me.

P.S. When I was in California the only ppl that were interested in "soccer" were Mexicans and some Greeks I knew of there. Americans not really, including my ex and her family.. And was the year that Greece for won the world cup. I wasnt even watching :S lol
