I had been looking at the TCL 55p605/607 and Vizio M and P series. A used Samsung KS8000 as well. But, This new 6 series really has a lot to offer and I think it's worth the wait!

I’m also curious to see what models Hisense will release in April as they confirmed that month at CES as well. Edge-lit TVs are out of the picture (slight pun intended). FALD has completely spoiled me. As it stands Hisense and TCL are my two brands of choice.

The 6 Series listed spec is Motion rate 240. So I'm guessing it will be native 120 hz???

Thanks for sharing the info...I have been checking TCL's website every day and no mention of it there. Also emailed them and they would give any info.

Any word if Best Buy is gonna have a proprietary model with a cheaper remote, like the 605?

I heard that one of the TCL models will have WebOS. This would be a bonus if true.

Not a smart tv owner, ever. Will WebOS allow me too playback a plethora of collected movies from my disk array? via Ethernet? Curious to finally purchase, and TCL seems to be making history here.

It's May 7th, and only Best Buy is selling the 65inch, but it's the model that does not include the roku voice control as well as the extra hdmi outputs. Tom's, why aren't you reporting this??
Can anyone give me a progress report as to when the model number: 65R617 will come out. Again, Best Buy is only selling the lesser 65" model number: 65R615

I knew BB was only selling the 55&65 R615 models with the lesser remote. That did not bother me, it is something I would never use. Are there fewer HDMI ports on the 55' as well? I read they were the exact same TVs only the remote was different. If what you say is true, makes even less sense to buy a 65 from BB (the price is the same vs $50 less than amazon for the 55' with non-voice remote).

I pre-ordered the best 65" from Amazon, to be delivered around May 30. I had bought a 32" to use as a monitor, so when I learned what a neat tv tcl has, I went ahead and ordered. Can. Not. Wait. A specially good buy for me because I am an over the air viewer and tcl has a full tv guide built in.
