Greetings, my first post;

I am waiting for Amazon to deliver a 2021 Moto G Power phone and I wish to get a case for it. I would like for it ot have a metal plate for my windshield magnet and a stand would be great.

There are tons of 2020 cases but the camera has moved to the center for the 2021 model. I have spent an hour searching but no go. So I may just need to buy a decent case and attach a small piece of sheet metal using contact cement.

Can you recommend a case for a similar phone? I looked at G Play and G7 Play but the size is off.

BTW, this seems like a great site. I just started looking at the forums and found out there is something called a launcher. Duh me. Even though I am a software engineer I have never really explored apps other than utilitarian things. Things like stopwatches, compass, hex calculator, MP3 player, Overdrive, reading glasses, Simple Radio, shopping lists, and gotta have a Walmart app as the local store is the worst for no/wrong price info on the shelves.

Thanx,
John

There are not many cases with a built in metal plate for magnetic holders, but there are a ton of metal plates that can be added to one, including inside the case, outside the case, and I like using a metal ring that acts as a stand or hand grip. I bought this exact one and it's great https://www.amazon.com/Syncwire-Rot...QDBJE61M3468&refRID=8WR2G33DQDBJE61M3468&th=1

Along with a 6 magnet car mount the phone does not budge no matter how bumpy the road is...

If your magnet holder is strong then a plate inside the case works fine, just glue it directly to the area the mount will be on, they come with a sticky side. In fact the car holder you bought should have come with some metal plates for the case already, check the box if you have it. I bought several models and they all came with a few in the box.

My mount has been stuck to the windshield without falling off for years, even in the Texas heat, so I am not touching that. But thanks for the ring idea, I like it. It may turn out to be the best of both worlds. I can get a case that I like, many come with screen protectors, and get a magnet plate/stand too. Often a custom built solution is the best.

Thanks again,
John
