2gb vs 4gb Laptop

I am now having trouble on deciding what to buy between these 2 laptops.

- Dell Inspiron 3442 Intel Core i3 4005U 1.7GHz. 500GB HDD, RAM 2GB DDR3, Intel HD 4400, Screen 14", WiFi, Webcam, DOS

- Dell Inspiron 3442 Intel Core i3 4005U 1.7GHz. 500GB HDD, RAM 4GB DDR3, GT 820M 2GB, Screen 14" ,WiFi, Webcam, DOS

I am planning to upgrade it to 8gb memory, so do i really have to buy the 4gb one? because the 2gb one is $100 cheaper, i do not need good gpu either.

Is there any technical reason behind this? the only thing i know is that 32 bits os can only ran 2gb of memory, and i am planning to buy windows 8.

for 32 bit its actually 3.25 max not 2 GB

But if you are going to upgrade then yea get the 2GB. For 70-80 bucks you can by 8GB of ram.
