3 GB RAM in a 5315?

So it seems possible to upgrade an Acer Aspire 5315 from 1 to 3 GB or memory? I've upgraded to 2 but am curious as how to install more. I've heard it can be done using the correct slots, which ones?

Can you please tell me how you upgraded to the 2? Did you just add 1, or did you have to remove the 1 and then add a 2?

I took both sticks out and replaced them with two 1 GB sticks. I learned that memory runs more efficiently when the sticks are identical.
