Hi,

I am planning to buy a new laptop. But here I am confused with 3rd generation and 4th generation.

Can you please tell me the exact difference in 3rd and 4th generation processors ?

what changes Intel has made in 4th generation ? and which one I should prefer ?

Thanks.
Gunjan Shah.

When we are talking about laptops, if the price is reasonable go with the 4th generation Intel (Haswell). As there is a marked improvement in onboard graphics and power usage which are both significant advantages for laptop users.

While generally its correct, this time its not if you look on Intel ARK you will notice its actually +2W max TDP.
As far as i know for quite few years Intel is just refreshing the models because there is no competition which would push them to put a bit more effort..
Obviously if you can get the 4th version in the price of the old one why would you take the old one then... if the price gap is noticeable then you can consider taking old one if you don't care in few more fps in some old games since this GPU is low end anyways.
