Question 4k or full HD for £250

6 year old 32" tv blew up at the weekend so needing a replacement, as the title says max would be £250.

stupid question, presume 4k is better than full HD even at that price or is it not worth paying the little bit extra from this one:

Personally, I'll always take the 4K over FHD. Looking at the Curry's site though, is there a specific reason you're not choosing the TCL over the HiSense? I've had nothing but good experiences with my TCL TV's, but HiSense... not so much. Even the Toshiba 4K on Curry's is within budget.

had toshiba tv's in the past and to be honest and recognise the hisense from tv adverts, just didnt know much about TCL, are they decent?

Yes, that are rather solid overall.

Nah. But there is a breaking point where some old stuff will certainly look better on a FHD than a 4K, depending on how old and low res it is. Speaking generally, if you're trying to watch a 360p video on 4K it's going to look worse than watching on a FHD.

yeah think i get you on that.
it would just be a normal tv for Sky and using the apps through that like youtube and netflix.
am starting to lean more towards a 4k though
