5.1 Surround Sound on pc

I just built a new pc with an Asus
M5A97 LE R2.0, which says it has 8 channel sound but only has one line out. How do I hook up my creative 5.1 surround sound with 3 plugs from my old pc? Is there an adapter? Do I have to get a sound card?

There's a note about that in the specifications:
