Frankly a CDMA iPhone hitting the US is the next logical step. With the exclusivity agreement coming to an end, or possibly breached at this point by AT&T any way, its the only way Apple can have any chance of continuing to grow its presence in the Smart Phone market, at least in the US. The biggest "choice" android gives you is what carrier, which for a lot of people is huge. Up here a Verizon clone CDMA carrier is far superior to AT&T, but unfortunately has a horrible deficit of decent phones, and most people up here tend to lean towards the iPhone. Verizon opens the door for a whole new market, being the people who wouldnt go to what they deem a lesser provider just for a handset they may prefer. Great handset with crap service = crap in general. This is not to make a lash at AT&T, but simply stating with the varied opinions on AT&T, this will likely help Apple, as well as Verizon, especially in the beginning. I am guessing the AT&T ditchers alone will make it worth Verizon's while, and Apple will enjoy the onslaught of new sales jacking their adoption rates up for the quarter and showing great proceeds even if they ARE current iPhone ATT owners. In the long run, its probably not going to help Apple overcome androids new found momentum, but it certainly will bring them, as well as Verizon to a new set of parties neither where invited to previously..
