6 cell vs 9 cell laptop battery

Solution
Hello... I guess to answer your POST... I need to ask... what is your definition of "Benefit"? you will get 1.5 times of power with the 9 cell vs 6 cell.
You'll probably get about a 55% improvement in battery life - 50% because of more cells, and a bit extra because batteries are more efficient if you charge/discharge them slower.

That assumes they use the same cells for each battery, of course.

Hello... Well it all comes down to what the Battery can put out in Current and Voltage... it simple math and physics going on here, read the specs and calculate Price/Amperes.
A NICAD battery will have a lower recharge/discharge life, lithium has a longer recharge/discharge life.

So, all the batteries out there with 42180 mWh stands for 2 hrs ? Mine (sony vaio VPCEB34En was rated for 2 hrs of use only - they tested this time under JEITA Battery Run Time Measurement Method as said in point no.8 under specifications in this link JEITA http://www.sony.co.in/product/vpceb34en)

Hello... 5200mAh 11.1V 6-Cell 9-Cell 11.1V 7800mAh these are the Numbers I see...
Thats 150% more power, and they are lithium... so 3hrs of use?

Are you asking me? :heink: I don't know

Hello... that what Sony states in the Web page you sent me ( 2hrs )... and I trust their specs. B ) the point is ( as i previously stated ) what are they pricing the batteries at? to see if it is a good value.

No. Sony stopped the OEM batteries for that model. (In fact, Sony stopped laptop manufacturing). That laptop was released in or before 2010. but after contacting them, they said, they're having batteries of other laptops that are compatible with this laptop and are about 100$ (6-cell, don't know about the power ratings)
