Hi all, I'm shopping around for gaming laptops for the upcoming sales on black friday, and I'm not sure what to get, or what to watch due to the sales coming. I'd like a great laptop but I'm afraid I'll miss the deals on black friday if I get one before then, but if I wait until Friday to start researching I may get overwhelmed so I'm turning here to find some laptops I can keep my eyes on to track to see if any go on sale, and as such, the $600 limit is anticipated after a sale... So feel free to link things up to around $900 and I'll just add all model numbers to a list and watch them come midnight on Friday.

Thank you all for your time, it's greatly appreciated! :)

1. What is your budget?

About $600, able to go up to around $700 for a great deal

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

Prefer it to be at least 15.6", but bigger is better

3. What screen resolution do you want?

I would love 1080 but a good deal is a good deal and for $600 I don't expect this to happen

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

I want it to be a desktop replacement

5. How much battery life do you need?

This is possibly the least important thing to me.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Skyrim, TF2, etc.

Would prefer at least medium on Skyrim

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

Design a lot of presentations in PPT so having a big screen is the only thing that would play into this

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

I would like around 500 GB

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

Due to the financing available from NewEgg it has to be from them

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

2-3 years at most, this is for my last 2 years as a grad student

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

Honestly I don't even need one.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I have no real problems with any brands, although I do love Asus products.

13. What country do you live in?

USA

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this, I really appreciate it,
Joe

I looked long and hard for an affordable gaming laptop for my self and found this.

It's the same exact laptop but listed on newegg with more reviews on it. However it is sold out on new egg.

That's not as true as you would think. A half decent gaming laptop can easily be had for $500 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220707)

I have a $2,200 desktop that runs things beautifully, but as a grad student I need to travel a lot this coming year. I could settle for the link I posted but it's a little dated but it'll still run most things pretty well (a gtx260 is a pretty solid card, had them in SLI before I upgraded to a 580)

Id reccomend this it has a decent GPU that will most definitely play modern games low medium such as bf3 but will probably max out older titles + its an asus like you asked. Its probably the best deal you could get unless you dont mind refurbs. Il find you a refurb with much better specs if you dont mind refurbs.

Gaming Laptop in 600$ is quiet difficult to find it.Still I will suggest that please take a look of Acer Aspire AS7551G-7606 Notebook. It gives best performance, graphics and communication tools to maximize your digital entertainment.I know the processor isn't great but it runs most games on high.
