8th Gen core i5,4gb ram or 7th gen core i5,8gb ram?

Really confused about which one should I get. Can someone tell me which one would be better in terms of performance?

What kind of performance do you need??
Both are entry level gamers at best.
The HP with 4gb of ram will need to be upgraded to 8gb.

For normal desktop work, a laptop hard drive is very weak; you are looking at a ssd upgrade if you want performance.

Either processor is ok.

I would buy neither, the low resolution screens are a turn off.

If you are severely budget constrained, look for a used unit or try Lenovo outlet.

The CPU and GPU on the HP Probook will perform better but you should get at least 8GB of RAM.
The i5 8250U has 4 cores and 8 threads and the i5-7200U 2 cores and 4 threads
Look for the Dell Inspiron with 1080p screen and the 8th gen Intel core i5
