A decent gaming laptop on my budget?

This has probably been asked a thousand times over....

What would be a solid gaming laptop for around $800-1000? I have looked around extensively and can't decide.

I've been eying the Lenovo y510, along with several others:

Both have i7 4710mq as CPU and 860m (GPU) maxwell with optimus technology which translates into that Neither of them should overheat and may have decent to good battery-life. Good perfomance and are in your budget if you can stretch like 20$ of your budget

Depends what games you wanna play. If you wan tto play the latest releases on moderate-high settings, buy a desktop.
