A few of my laptop keys are not working.

Six, eight, nine, Number Lock, left shift, Escape keys are all not working. A few other keys are also not working. What can I do to fix this other than replacing the laptop?

Most keyboards on a laptop can be easily replaced. Take it to a repair shop. Generally, a new keyboard costs around $20-40 and it take about 15-20 minutes of a technician's time.
