Hi, any help would be appreciated with this. Using Windows 8, when I connected my Dell laptop to the Sony Vizio TV via HDMI, everything worked perfectly. Since ugrading to windows 10 the TV fails to automatically recognise the laptop, despite the computer 'seeing' the second display in display manager. If i turn the TV off and then on whilst connected it reconises the computer, but shows the message ;'resolution not supported'.
I tried the same with my wifes laptop, and that is recognised and displayed without a problem.
I adjusted the resolution on my computer to match hers (to 1920 x 1080) and it still says 'resolution not supported'
The TV is installed on both cimputers under the same name. Both laptops run Windows 10.
If I connect my laptop to a monitor via HDMI it works fine.
For reference, my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7548, my wife's is a Dell Inspiron 7537, and the TV is a Sony Vizio E500i.
Any help would be great!
