Solution

check the V number for voltage has to be 1.5 or 1.35-1.5v ( not just 1.35v)

check cl number as well if all is same as the corsair then it will work

Can you provide a link? Without it we can't be sure, but I'm guessing it's not able to fit.

You can find compatible memory here: http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/ doesn't have to be crucial brand just fit the specifications stated in that report.

The pin size seems right (although yours may need 240 instead of 204), and your motherboard should support 1600mhz ram. The problem here is the cas latency is 11, cas latency deals with response time, so it will respond much slower than other RAM. You'd be better off going with something different, go to crucial and get the PC3 number*, this has to match for the RAM to work. Also, try finding something with a cas latency at or under 9, the lower the better. (keep within 1333mhz-1600mhz)

* When you download and run the scanner the results will appear in your browser, on the right side under "Memory:" will be a list of compatible PC3 numbers and speeds, for example my laptop can run: DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 PC3-14900.

since its a laptop 204 pin is what its slot is not 240 thats desktop ram why people get confused over this i dont know.

now that depends on the ram inside your laptop id suggest turning it off and checking

write down

speed 1600mhz
voltage also known as v it will either be 1.35 or 1.5 or duel v as in 1.35v-1.5 which means it works at both
finally cl number if its lower ten 11 it wont work if its 11 it will work.

if you want that ram to work with existing ram it must be the exact same

speed 1600mhz
voltage
and cl number as the current ram
and must be 204 pin

if unsure take out the ram out the laptop and take a picture of the sticker on the ram with this info

how to take out ram and upgrade ram
