About the Power Envelope

So i am attempting to fix a power supply/battery related problem, and someone at some point back mentioned something about a "Power Envelope"..

I did have to ask, because i just needed to be sure: Is this "power envelope" part of the Battery or is it part of the Computer (Possibly around where the Coils are located) somewhere?

We'd need much more context as to this 'power envelope'.

That sounds like not a physical thing, but rather how much and how fast the battery runs down.

Well i am trying to fix a Charging problem, because it is pretty much refusing to charge.. i am, at the moment, waiting for a replacement battery to come in once i have finished, but someone mentioned something about the "Power Envelope", so i just wanted to make sure i knew where it was so i and a the person that is currently trying to help me dont screw anything up.

Also, my Battery seemed to run down at about 1, 2 or 3% per minute, plus, even though i had the cord plugged in, it still discharged at 1% per 10 minutes, whiles rejecting charges.

Without knowing what that person was referring to with "power envelope"...we can only guess.
But I think it is what I said, and not a physical "envelope"
