Absynth v.s. Atmosphere

I like the MP3 demos I heard for NI Absynth and Spectrasonics
Atmosphere, but I can only buy one. I'm looking to create spacy,
atmospheric, syrupy, gushy, soft-core technoish type music. For those
of you who have both, what do you like about each? How are the stock
sounds? How are the available banks for purchase? Which is easier to
work with? What are the differences in CPU consumption if any? How easy
is it to edit a patch?

I think that you'll get more replies on this subject if you post a query in
the "instruments" forum on www.kvraudio.com.
