Acer 5733 help with small part

Hi, hope someone can help. I cleaned my fan and as I was putting everything back a small cog like part fell out and have no idea where from. It has a threaded hole in the centre with black spikes of different lengths. Please can anyone help!

Hi, maybe it's a standoff who broke from the bottom of the casing.

Thanks Jarotech, yes it was a broken standoff which glued back nicely, thanks to everyone for suggestions as well.
