Question Acer Aspire 3 battery light flashing on full charge

I have fully charged my Acer Aspire 3 laptop (it is showing 100% charged) but the battery light at the side is still flashing red, even when not switched on.
Any help appreciated.

Do some research on the internet to find out how to test the battery on an Acer laptop (vendors are all different). Usually, there is a vendor supplied battery test that will tell you if the battery is defective. It can show 100% charge but still have an issue.
