acer aspire 4755 laptop power button not responsive

Hello,
my acer aspire 4755's power button is not working . is there anyway of checking if the laptop is functional or a workaround for the power button( even if it involves opening it up) .

youre sure that the battery has charge left in it and the adapter aint faulty? I'd suggest getting that checked out first. If plugging in a new adapter doesnt allow it to start it could be a failed power ic chip.

Yeah. I left it in charge for a good time. And the battery light is on. I've had adapter issues before , this adapter is a fairly new one. But thanks for the tip.

Ok then it could be an IC issue, get it checked from a repair centre.
