Not likely. Try reinstalling the drivers from the product page. If that doesn't help, the keyboard probably needs to be replaced.

Do you have the ALPS or the Synaptics touchpad/keyboard hardware? You can check device manager in control panel if you're unsure. Also, what windows version are you running?

Solution
There might even just be crap down in the keyboard. You can try removing it and blowing it out with compressed air. Make sure the connections inside are all ok and that nothing has been spilled inside the unit. If that fails to help, then I guess replacement is the only option.
