Acer Aspire cracked case needs replacing

Hello, dear TH community,

recently, my Acer Aspire A515-51G plummeted down and hit the floorboards hard in an awkward position. Pictures are shown below. I'd really like this sorted out because it is not only awful to look at, but it's been recently bought as well. I'm sure my warranty won't cover for the damage, so I need to find my own solution. I've googled replacing the laptop cases, but have never done it. I guess I'd be up for it as id doesn't seem too difficult. However, I don't know which cases fit this very laptop and how do I figure it out? As far as I've read, the case does not need to be OEM and it can even be taken off of another brand. Can you please fill me in on anything I may be missing here. What are the best solutions for my problem?

From what height did you drop that!? You can't use any old laptop case for a replacement, they are designed around the motherboard so the screws, vents and Access ports match up. You either need to contact the laptop manufacturer for repair ( gonna cost lots) or search the net for a replacement case using the laptop model number ( it should be on a label on the bottom of the case)

It dropped from a height of 1.5m, but it landed awkwardly. It's unfortunate, really.

I figured not just any laptop would do, but what I meant to ask is are there any other brands and models which might have the same case build? In case I don't find the exact model - which may be unlikely.

Cases are generally brand/model specific with maybe a few spanning several models. Contacting Acer may get you the part numbers for the case parts or they may be able to point you to a local service centre/ stockist who maybe able to supply the parts. Rebuilding the laptop will probably take an hour or so if you have the right tools/ patience and a bit of knowhow.

yeah, found it already. Unfortunately, the shipping price to my place (Croatia) doubles the price.
