Acer Aspire E-17

This Acer Aspire E-17 does not have a CD-DVD drive. Is it possible to purchase a cheap "external" drive and connect it through the USB port(s)?

Also, I want to "revert from Windows 8.1 to Window 7". The "help on YouTube" references bios settings that do not appear to exist on this unit like the CSM setting no longer exists. Can anyone advise me on how to accomplish my objective? With as little pain, suffering and e-anguish as possible? 🙂

You can use an external USB thumb drive for connecting and even for installing prior versions of your OS. You would just need to make sure the drive actually works with your computer and the task you want to use it for. Not all are made alike.
