Acer Aspire Laptop Not Powering On

Let's start this on a light note, with me saying I feel like throwing this laptop into the ground. Now that that's out of the way.

So my sister brought home the laptop, apparently it belongs to some ten year old kid or whatever that she tutors. Meaning, the kid doesn't remember what he was doing when the laptop "stopped working"

This is the problem, I hit the power switch, the blue light flashes for a second, five seconds was the max I got, and then it goes off. No fans, no posting, nothing.

Changed the power cable and/or brick (dunno what it's called here), still the same thing.

The battery light is on when I plug in the power cable. But nothing, just looking for some feedback.

I'm thinking the laptop is done, but. Maybe I'm too harsh.

hmm trying pulling out the hard drive and conectin it to a sata dock to see if it is still working

Neat. I actually did. Like I plugged it into my PC. It works. Was prepping for data recovery lol

Okay. What do I do if the HDD works ?

What model of Acer do you have ?
Try booting without the battery, just the brick.

The warranty is void. It's a. acer aspire. Uhh. Not sure of the model number. I'm actually not in the house.

hmm yeh first oppen it up carfuly looking at the motherboardlooking for lose conector or broken/burnt components
