Acer aspire one notebook battery not charging

Hello,
my battery is not charging and i cannot use my notebookwithout it being plugged in?

Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums,
There are two possibilities that immediately come to mind,
1) battery is worn out, needs replacement or
2) Power jack has gone bad and needs replacement.
There are a few other issues that may cause that but if you can use it no problem while plugged in, I would suspect the battery first.

And you can have #1 and #2 happen simultaneously, it is not unheard of.

Acer knows that their Aspire Laptops have battery failures and they still sell them without fixing the problem. The only resolution is to spend your own money shipping the Laptop back to them and wait two weeks to get it back. They know there are problems and the elected to keep shipping faulty product because it's cheaper than fixing it. Acer believes it's cheaper because most people don't understand PC's. DO NOT BUY ACER LAPTOPS!!!
