When opening up the ultrabook, I can't seem to find the MSATA SSD anywhere. I want to replace it and keep the 500GB HDD, since the 20GB ssd is just too little.

I'm thinking it may be on the other side of the motherboard, but I'm not quite sure. Anyone with any advice?

So I opened it up and it seems like it is an ISSD indeed.
Is there any way to install Win7 on a 20GB drive? I don't have the recovery CD's, if I have to order them they'll cost me about €70 since I lost them when I moved out of my parents' house..

Basically what I've done is x64 ultimate installation, remove hibernation mode (since it wont be used) and set the page file size to max 1GB. Gives me about 7.20GB free space, which is fine. Thanks for your help mate.

I just bought an Acer S3. I wanted to change the WiFi module on it. Unfortunately my S3 has the upgradable SSD but soldered WiFi. If anyone in SoCal has the opposite combination (upgradable WiFi/Soldered SSD) is interested in swapping that module, please PM me.

did you ever figure this out? if not, I'm looking at the first picture: see the big circle on the HDD? go to the left and there's a black dual port with a card on one side and a strip on the other side. The card with the black tape on it is your mSATA. The bottom of it is even with the top of the circle on the HDD.
